Pirates swim in four-team meet; Downey, Diller win 2 races

MINSTER - The Bluffton High School swim teams competed in a tough four-team meet at the Auglaize/Mercer County YMCA on February 1.
The Pirate boys took second and Bluffton girls came in third.
St. Henry won the tightly-bunched girls meet with 133 points, followed by Bellefontaine/Ben Logan with 126 points. The Pirate girls totaled 113 points.
Bellefontaine/BL won the boys meet with 126 points. Bluffton finished second with 87 points. St. Henry ended up a distant third with 23 points. McComb was fourth with 16.
Pirate junior Jenna Downey won two individual races, the 50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly.
Bluffton freshman Kari Diller touched first in the 200 free and in the 100 backstroke.
