Ryan Turner named next Bluffton University head golf coach
Bluffton University has named Ryan Turner as its next head golf coach.
Turner brings more than 16 years of experience in the golf industry, coaching and teaching students from diverse backgrounds. Turner brings extensive knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations and recruiting strategies.
A former Division III golfer for the #1 ranked team in the nation, Turner competed at the National Championship, contributing to his team's fifth place finish. During his collegiate career Turner received numerous accolades, including Ping All-American, First Team All-SCIAC, First Team Ping West Region, and multiple conference championships.
Turner currently works with MXS Solutions and All Systems Golf where he continues to impact the golf community through innovative coaching and development strategies. Turner has also worked as an assistant golf professional at The Citrus Club in La Quinta, Cal., and Buenaventura Golf Course in Ventura, Cal.
Turner holds certification from Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and Trackman. Turner is also certified in golf club and golf ball fitting and served as a former Professional Golfer's Association (PGA) associate.
Turner will start his head coaching duties at Bluffton on March 10.

"I would like to thank James Grandey and the rest of the search committee for their confidence in me and for granting me this opportunity."
In 2018, Turner earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration from University of Redlands in Redlands, Cal.
