Donald W. Steiner was a farmer
Donald "Don" Wayne Steiner, 87, passed away on March 26, 2025 at his residence. Don was born April 10, 1937 in Pandora to the late Ellis and Barbara (Zimmerly) Steiner. On September 5, 1992 he married Kathy Smith Steiner who survives.
Don graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School. He also trained as an air traffic controller stationed at Prescott, Arizona before returning to his passion of farming. Don was a member of St. John Bible Church, Pandora and Gideon's International. He enjoyed singing in the Steiner/Diller quartet for over fifty years and singing with the church choir and community musicals.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Steiner of Pandora; two sons, Brad (Laurie) Steiner Larsen of Farmington, Utah, Brent (Jean) Steiner Larsen of Orem, Utah; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by a brother, Byron Steiner and three sisters, Eloise Clymer, Winifred Core and Lois Regehr.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Bridge Home Health & Hospice and Kathy and Rick Fricke for their excellent care of Don.
Don's services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at St. John Bible Church, Pandora with Pastor Paul Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora following the service. Visitation will be Monday, April 7, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at St. John Bible Church, Pandora.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Bible Church Missions Fund or Gideon's International.
