Joseph “Joe” Ropp Davies worked for University of Findlay
Joseph “Joe” Ropp Davies, 77, passed away March 28, 2025, at his home.
Joe was born September 28, 1947 in Bluffton to Richard and Vernice (McElroy) Davies who preceded him in death. On November 25, 1970 he married Nancy (Donehoo) Davies, who survives.
Joe graduated from Bluffton High School in 1967. Joe worked in food service for most of his life, with the greatest part of his career spent with The University of Findlay dining services. Joe was an avid Bluffton Pirate fan, loving nothing more than standing at the fence at Harmon Field on a Friday night cheering on his Pirates.
He is survived by two children, Tonya (Todd) Frazier, and Mac (Cara Young) Davies. Joe had three granddaughters, Katelynn Frazier, Libby Frazier and Anna Davies and three grandsons, Brennan Davies, R.J. Davies, and Jayce Davies. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Morgan Davies and Rick Davies.
Per Joe’s wishes there will be no visitation and no funeral services.
