Pirate boys win NWC track title, girls 2nd
Stackhouse, Miller each win 3 events

COLUMBUS GROVE – On Friday, May 16, the Bluffton High School boys track and field team won the Northwest Conference championship meet at Columbus Grove, while the Pirate girls finished a strong second.
The Pirate boys scored 188 points, 23 points ahead of second-place meet host Grove (165).
Spencerville came in a distant third with 91 points, followed by Crestview (70), Lincolnview (69), Allen East (41), Delphos Jefferson (21) and LCC (6).
Bluffton senior speedster Griffin Stackhouse crossed the finish line first in the 100, 200 and 400-meter races.
Pirate senior Marek Donaldson won the boys 800-meter run in a meet-record time of 1:56.86.
The Pirate girls scored 172 points to finish second behind Grove (187.5). Spencerville again came in third (107), followed by Lincolnview (66.5), Allen East (50.5), Delphos Jeff (35), Crestview (30.5) and LCC (3).
Versatile Pirate freshman Maelee Miller won three individual girls league titles in the high jump, 100-meter hurdles and the 400 meter run.

800: Bluffton’s Marek Donaldson (1:56.86 meet record)
200: Bluffton’s Griffin Stackhouse (22.17)
