Letter: SB1 referendum petition, June 7
UPDATE The petition location will be in the alley across from the Farmers Market.

This Saturday, June 7, voters will have an opportunity to sign a referendum petition for halting Ohio Senate Bill 1.
The nonpartisan petition will temporarily halt the implementation of the bill, which imposes academic and discriminatory mandates on Ohio’s public and private colleges universities, similar to the current national DEI restrictions at universities like Harvard.
The OHIO bill has been quietly passed and signed into law without public input and will go into effect at the end of this month, June 2025. Google "Ohio Senate Bill 1" for the details.
A similar bill directed at Ohio’s K-12 schools is “in the works.” This could affect nearly every aspect of education, taking policy making away from the local schools.
