RTA bus trips with the Bluffton Senior Center, July 17 and August 6
The Bluffton Senior Center is coordinating RTA bus trips designed to help people get familiar with riding the RTA bus that now comes to Bluffton. It is also a nice little trip out of town for those with cabin fever. We ride the regular bus route so please note that the bus does not wait on anyone. Everyone needs to be at the stop before the bus arrives. The RTA bus does not give change so bring $1 bills to pay for your fare. Sign-up sheets are in the trip book.
JULY 17 RTA TO DELPHOS We will depart from the town hall on the 8:45 bus and ride the bus all the way to Delphos. Please note, the bus goes through Lima so the ride is an hour long. Once in Delphos, you are free to explore the town on your own. The Canal Museum is open on Thursdays from 9 to 12. The Creamery opens at 11 and is about two blocks from the bus stop. The thrift store that is a half block from the bus stop opens at 11 as well. There are also several restaurants within walking distance. We will meet back at the bus stop at 1:45 p.m. for the ride back to Bluffton. A staff member will accompany everyone on the bus.
AUGUST 6 RTA TO BEER BARREL We will depart from the town hall on the 10:45 bus. At the bus terminal in Lima, we will switch buses and get off at the Beer Barrel on Market St. After a nice lunch on your own, it is back on the bus, switch buses at the terminal and back to Bluffton. A staff member will accompany the group.
