University Panel to Discuss Civic Engagement Theme
AUG 22 MEDIA RELEASE__A panel of Bluffton University faculty, staff, alumni and current students will present “Who is My Neighbor? Knowing, Loving, and Serving Our Neighbors” during Bluffton’s Civic Engagement Theme Introduction Forum at 11:00 a.m. on Sept. 2 in Yoder Recital Hall.
Panelists will include DeLaney Begley ’28; Christy Garmatter ’07, MAEd ’04, director of student success and tutoring coordinator; Dr. Sarah Lehman, associate professor of biology; James Grandey, athletics director and head baseball coach; and Dr. Walt Paquin, director of social work program and professor of social work.
Drawing on personal and professional experiences, panelists will introduce the 2025-26 civic engagement theme, which focuses on how to serve and understand the diverse communities around us.
This Forum is free and open to the public. Forum at Bluffton University provides a public space for interdisciplinary discovery about the personal, local and global challenges faced by students, faculty, staff and the Bluffton community.
