Pirate girls golf close 2nd at tri; Bauman 1st

BLUFFTON__The host Bluffton High School girls golf team finished second in a three-team match on Wednesday, August 27 at the Bluffton Golf Course.
Northwest Conference foe Delphos Jefferson nosed out the Pirate girls by four strokes, 218-222. Ottoville finished a distant third with 279 strokes.
Co-match medalist Katie Bauman led Bluffton with a solid round of 44 on the par-36 front nine. She finished tied for first individually in the field of 13 golfers with DJ ace Brylee Geary.
Bauman earned a birdie on the par-five third hole.
Ally Stechschulte carded a 56 to place second for the Pirates. Kaydence Welch finished with a 60, and Molly Scott was the fourth Pirate scorer at 62.
Marissa Dennis added a round of 67.
The Pirate girls host Kalida September 9.
