Pirate girls soccer edged by Celina

BLUFFTON__The host Bluffton High School girls soccer team scored early but lost to undefeated Celina 2-1 on Saturday, August 30 at Steinmetz Field.
The Bluffton girls fell to 1-3 with the non-league defeat. WBL power Celina improved to 6-0-1 after the win.
Pirate Mya McDougle found the back of the net in the fifth minute on an assist by Samantha Rueller.
The Bulldogs tied it on a goal in the 25th minute, and the game remained knotted up 1-1 at the half.
Celina then tallied the eventual game-winner two minutes into the second half to break the tie. Neither team was able to score again over the final 38 minutes.
Bluffton put two of its four shots on goal, while Celina fired 14 of their 28 shots on target.
Pirate keeper Kynzie Ewing made a dozen saves in goal.
Bluffton (1-0 NWC) hosts league foe Crestview (1-2, 0-0 NWC) on Tuesday, September 2.
