Physical therapy technique presentation, Sept. 18
SEPT 2 MEDIA RELEASE__Northwest Physical Therapy will host an educational presentation on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 5:30 p.m. at its Bluffton clinic, located at 80 St. Rt. 103.
The presentation will be led by therapists Beth and Hannah and will focus on the clinical application and benefits of several common physical therapy techniques. Topics will include manual therapy, cupping, kinesiology taping (KT taping), dry needling, and various therapeutic modalities.
“Our goal with this presentation is to provide clear information about the tools we use every day in the clinic,” said Hannah Rickle, PT at Northwest Physical Therapy’s Bluffton location. “Techniques like cupping, dry needling, and taping can look unfamiliar to patients, but they serve a very specific purpose in helping the body heal and move better.” Often, these tools are not only effective post injury/surgery, but also for accelerating recovery for general muscle soreness post sporting/athletic events, recreational sports (ie pickleball, golf, tennis, jogging) and general aches and pains.
The event is open to the public. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how these treatment methods support rehabilitation goals, reduce pain, and improve mobility. The presentation will include explanations of each technique, their intended outcomes and appropriate use cases.
There is no cost to attend, but an RSVP is required by Friday, Sept. 12. To reserve a spot, text or call the Bluffton clinic at 419-358-4005 or register in person.
