Pirate boys soccer tie vs. Van Buren

VAN BUREN__The visiting Bluffton High School boys soccer team scored first but settled for a 1-1 tie at Van Buren in a non-league match at Tom Swaisgood Memorial Field on Tuesday evening, September 2.
Bluffton ran its season record to 2-2-2 with the knot.
Van Buren stands 2-3-1 after the tie.
Bluffton’s Isaiah Kohli tallied the first goal of the game in the 21st minute to give the Pirates a brief lead. Black Knight Colton Wilson tallied the equalizer in the 29th minute to make it 1-1.
Neither team was able to score over the final 51 minutes.
VB did not have a junior varsity team, so no reserve game was played.
The Pirates play at PCL foe Ottoville (4-1) in a varsity-only match at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4. Bluffton hosts Archbold (3-1) of the Northwest Ohio Athletic League on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 5 p.m.
