Pirate volleyball rallies past Arlington

ARLINGTON__The visiting Bluffton High School volleyball team shook off a slow start to defeat Arlington in a four-set, non-league match on Tuesday, September 2.
Bluffton dropped the first set yet rallied to win going away 16-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-8.
The Pirate girls improved to 4-3 overall with the road victory. Arlington fell to 3-3 overall after the defeat.
Kendall Stackhouse led the Pirates with 15 kills, and she added a pair of aces.
Karlie Lora smacked 14 kills and came up with 10 digs to go with two blocks. Libby Hocanson knocked down nine kills.
Camryn Fruchey passed out 23 assists, served up four aces and hustled her way to 10 digs.
Adelyn Althaus doled out 20 assists.
Vanessa Cross mustered 18 digs and dealt five aces. Gracie Warren hustled up 11 digs.
Lainey Grandey added a pair of blocks.
The Bluffton junior varsity and Pirate freshman squads each swept their matches, 2-0.
Bluffton visits non-league foe Elmwood (2-2) on Thursday, Sept. 4.
