Pirate girls tennis 3rd at Elida Invite

LIMA – The Bluffton High School girls tennis team finished third at the four-team Elida Invitational tournament on Saturday, September 6.
Two Pirate doubles teams finished second in their respective tournament flights.
Bluffton’s Hannah Nieman ended up third in the singles tournament. Another Bluffton tandem ended up third in the A flight tourney.
Celina captured the team title with 16 points, followed by host Elida in second with 11. The Pirates ended up third with eight points, while Van Wert (3) came in last.
Celina’s Isabelle Thobe won the singles division tournament after knocking off Nieman in the semifinals.

Bluffton (3-6) plays at tough WBL foe Elida (4-1) in a dual match on Wednesday, September 10.
