Debra Rose Hohenbrink was a nurse
Debra Rose Hohenbrink, 71, passed away September 11, 2025 in Lima, Ohio. Deb was born April 8, 1954 in Lima to the late Lavern and Dolores (Halker) Hermiller who preceded her in death. On April 18, 1975 she married Donald Hohenbrink and he survives.
Deb graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School and obtained her practical nurse's degree at St. Rita's Hospital, Lima. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at Bluffton Hospital. Deb was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bluffton where she sang in the choir and was active in many church activities. She loved vegetable gardening, canning, flowers, sewing, knitting scarves and hats and designing her own greeting cards. Deb also enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband, Don.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Hohenbrink of Columbus Grove; four children, Jennifer Spradlin of Franklin, Tennessee, Brian (Rachel Price) Hohenbrink of Columbus Grove, Holly (Glenn) Hohenbrink-Rhodes of West Orange, New Jersey, Bradley Hohenbrink of Johnstown, Ohio; three grandchildren, Austin Spradlin, Hannah and Grayson Hohenbrink; two brothers, Larry (Vicki) Hermiller of Pandora, Tom (Ann) Hermiller of Lima; two sisters, Sue (Steve) Recker of Mt. Cory, Jane Warren of Columbus Grove; four step-brothers, Craig (Mary) Trenkamp of Cridersville, Tim (Gina) Trenkamp of Seattle, Washington, Ron (Chris) Trenkamp of Cincinnati, John (Tami) Trenkamp of Lima and a step-sister, Carla Visser of Orlando, Florida.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Lavern and Dolores Hermiller; her step-mother, Marjorie Trenkamp-Hermiller; a sister, Christine Hermiller; a brother-in-law, Dennis Warren and a step-brother, Jerry Trenkamp.
Deb’s services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bluffton, with Father John McLoughlin officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 2:00 -6:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services – Bluffton, where a prayer service will take place at 6:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
