Icons provide free classifieds for notices, while state still requires print news

My thanks go to the Village of Bluffton for providing Icon readers with the following announcement, which will also be found on the Classifieds page. Notices on the Bluffton Icon and Ada Icon serve a practical if not a legal purpose. The State of Ohio regulations still only recognize print news for legal notices.

Therefore, notices on the Icons are free.

Sealed bids will be received at the Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main Street Bluffton, Ohio 45817, until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct 1, 2025 by the Council of the Village of Bluffton, Ohio, for a three (3) year Farm Cash Lease for agricultural use for following properties:

property known as the Bluffton Airport property located on SR. 103, Twp. Road 51, County Line Road, and Twp. Road 29. The tillable land consists of approximately 65.53 acres. 

property known as the Stager Well Field Farmland located at 809 South Main Street, between Main Street and the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. It consists of approximately 15.83 tillable acres.

Successful Bidder must comply with all provisions of the lease agreement. Copies for either of the Farm Cash Leases may be obtained at the Bluffton Town Hall. The bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope and labeled with the land being bid on. The Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids.  By the order of the Council of the Village of Bluffton, Ohio.
