Bike repair station maintenance demonstration on October 18
At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, Raymond Harner of Bike Crazy LLC will demonstrate how to use the bike repair stations found in four locations around Bluffton.
The demonstration will take place at the station next to Twisted Whisk Cafe, 101 S. Main St.
Participants will learn some bike maintenance and how to use the new bike repair stations:
Bluffton Lion’s Pathway Trailhead at the shelter house near Bluffton Inn and Suites on SR 103
Bluffton University Nature Preserve entrance on Augsburger Road
Twisted Whisk Cafe, corner of Main and Cherry streets
St John’s UCC, corner of Jackson St. and College Ave.
Each station includes an air pump and full set of commonly used tools, allowing cyclists to make quick adjustments or repairs while on the go. The bike can be placed on the stand while making repairs and a QR code to provide additional information.
The installation of the bike repair stations is part of an ongoing effort of St. John’s UCC Bike Ministry to improve cycling infrastructure and encourage active transportation throughout Bluffton.
