Pirate CC runs at O-G Invite

OTTAWA__The Bluffton High School cross country team competed at the 23-team Ottawa-Glandorf Blue/Gold Invitational meet on Saturday, September 13.

BOYS RESULTS
Bryan easily won the boys team title with just 26 points. St. Henry came in a distant second with 92 points, followed by Defiance Tinora (94).

The Pirate boys finished 19th with 479 points.

Freshman Atticus Prothro paced Bluffton with a 45th-place showing in a time of 18:19.16. Sophomore Toby Clevidence came in 84th in 19:39.63. 

Sophomore Levin Essinger crossed the line in 120th with a time of 20:55.7. Freshman Micah Dimarco ended up 128th in 21:21.73. Freshman Max Fritsch came in 142nd in 22:52.17.

Freshman Logan Stechschulte finished 148th in 23:42.55.

Freshman John Deitemeyer of Bryan won the 162-runner boys race in a time of 16:19.4.

GIRLS RESULTS
Host O-G won the girls team title over second-place Napoleon, 56-71. Van Wert (133), Delphos St. John’s (144) and Bath (158) completed the top five in a field of 17 full teams.

Pirate senior Elizabth Honse was 80th out of 160 runners in a time of 24:33.86. Senior Lydia Tarplee came in 109th in 26:16.6. Freshman Jora Boisvert crossed the line 148th.

Napoleon’s Gwen Huddle pulled away late and won the girls race with a time of 18:13.27.
