LEXINGTON__The visiting Bluffton High School boys soccer team tied Lexington 1-1 on a late goal in a tight non-league match on Wednesday, September 17.

The Pirate record is 2-6-3 after the result. The Minutemen are now 5-4-1.

Neither team scored during the first half, nor in the first 12 minutes of the second half.

Lexington’s Cohen Lautzenhiser finally broke the ice by tallying the game’s first goal in the 53rd minute.

But then with just over nine minutes remaining to play, Bluffton’s Chase Kelly netted the equalizer on an assist by Ethan Hoffman.

Lexington won the junior varsity match, 4-0.

The Pirates play at always-tough Ottawa Hills on Saturday, Sept. 20. The Green Bears are 4-5-1 but play a difficult schedule.
