Pirate volleyball loss vs. Crestview

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School volleyball team lost a three-set bout to visiting Crestview in a battle of Northwest Conference unbeatens on Thursday, September 25.

The Pirate girls fell to 12-6 overall and 4-1 in NWC play with the 25-13, 25-16, 25-22 defeat.

Crestview moved into sole possession of first place in the NWC after the win with a 5-0 record. The Knights also improved to 10-3 overall.

Karlie Lora led the Pirates with nine kills, five blocks and one ace. Kendall Stackhouse knocked down seven kills. Lainey Grandey contributed six kills and a pair of blocks.

Adelyn Althaus dished out 21 assists and mustered 10 digs.

Vanessa Cross and Gracie Warren each hustled up 14 digs.

Cross and Althaus served one ace apiece.

Crestview also swept the Bluffton junior varsity, 2-0.

The Pirates play at tough non-league foe Patrick Henry (13-2) on Monday, Sept. 29.
