FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__The Bluffton Senior Center, 132 N. Main St. is signing up members for the following Coach Trips with Tonya and Bus Trips with Debbie. Trip activity levels are explained below.
COACH TRIPS WITH TONYA
WINTER IN YELLOWSTONE
January 19-25, 2026
Last day to sign up is October 19! Explore the sparkle of our Nation's First National Park. The wonders of Yellowstone have never felt so close.
Under feet of snow, the roads remain off-limits to private vehicles, allowing for a uniquely intimate experience with nature from the warmth of your heated snow coach. The animals of Yellowstone are much easier to see in the winter. The average temperature in January is 24 degrees. But the coaches are nice and warm. Price starts at $3,897. Brochures available in the office. Cost includes airfare, 12 meals and all gratuities. This trip is a level 2.
WONDERS OF ICELAND
July 9-18, 2026
Join us on a trip around Iceland, Land of Fire and Ice. Iceland's breathtaking landscapes unfold with impressive waterfalls, black sand beaches and steaming geothermal pools. We will circle the whole island on this grand adventure. Watch the sun glisten off icebergs and spot whales swimming in the wild. Airfare is included. Price starts at $6,099.00. $250.00 deposit due at sign up. Brochures available at the Senior Center.

Thursday, November 13
With a wonderful musical score, this rousing adaption of the of the 1970 film tells the timeless tale of the infamous miser's supernatural encounters on Christmas Eve. This trip is a perfect way to celebrate the joy of Christmas. A wonderful buffet lunch is included. Cost is $106 and is due at sign up. Trip departs at 9 a.m. Level 1.
ELVIS CHRISTMAS SHOW @ RSM Events, Mentor, OH
Wednesday, November 19
Aloha and Merry Christmas from Hawaii. Walt Sanders gives an incredible performance of Elvis music along with Christmas and Swing era favorites performed by the Dave Banks Big Band. Lunch is included. Come dressed in your holiday attire. Level 1. Trip departs at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $167 due at sign up.
Clifton Mill Lights & Youngs Dairy, Yellow Springs, OH
Wednesday, December 10
Come Celebrate the Season in a fantastical winter wonderland with over 4 million lights illuminating the mill, the gorge, the riverbanks, trees, and the bridges. There is even a 100 foot "waterfall" of twinkling lights. A Miniature Village, a Santa Claus Museum, a toy collection and a spectacular synchronized lights and music show featuring the old Covered Bridge. We will be having supper (on your own) before the lights at Youngs Dairy, with a variety of food choices (featuring their amazing homemade ice-creams and cheeses) Cost is $82 and is due at sign up. Departing at 2 p.m. Level 2. First day to sign up is October 9.

If you want a copy of the Trip Policy, stop by the office and pick one up. We will no longer be able to take credit cards for any trip because of the rising credit card fees. This means that we will no longer be able to take reservations over the phone. All trips must be signed up in person or a check may be sent in the mail.
TRIP ACTIVITY LEVELS
The following is an explanation of the levels assigned to the trips.
LEVEL 1 Minimal walking through parking lots and drop off locations. Standing while waiting in line and for entrance to tours. Will include steps and uneven surfaces throughout the day and steps in and out of motor coach.
LEVEL 2 Moderate walking/standing, up to half a mile, may include stairs and /or uneven terrain. Plus, on and off motor coach more than once.
LEVEL 3 Lots of walking/standing for multiple hours. May include flights of stairs and /or uneven terrain. Could include long days.
LEVEL 4 Extensive walking/standing, climbing stairs or hilly walkways and /or extended weather exposure.
