Mehaffie named Coach of the Year, 9 players earn all-league notice

BLUFFTON__The Northwest Conference champion Bluffton High School girls soccer team placed four senior standouts on the 2025 all-league first team in voting recently conducted by the conference coaches.

The Pirates claimed the league title with a 6-0 record.

Bluffton mentor Jamie Mehaffie was also named NWC Coach of the Year by his peers.

Pirate senior scoring ace Aubrey Burkholder was runner-up for top player honors and made first team all-league.

Speedy senior Mya McDougle was also voted first team All-NWC.

Bluffton senior goalkeeper Kynzie Ewing earned first-team all-conference notice. Versatile senior Blair Utendorf was also named first team all-league.

Pirate senior Avery Ulrey was voted second team All-NWC.

Bluffton senior Lauren Dearth and juniors Ellie Bogart, Greta Myers and Nora Matthews all earned honorable mention all-league.

Senior Ruth Myers of league runner-up Columbus Grove was named NWC Player of the Year.

Grove ended up second in the NWC at 5-1, followed by Spencerville (3-2) in third. Crestview and Delphos Jefferson tied for fourth at 2-3-1, with Allen East sixth (1-4) and LCC last (0-6).
