Marguerite “Marty” A. Chamberlin worked at the Ottawa VFW
Marguerite “Marty” A. Chamberlin, 72, of Ottawa, passed away November 22, 2025, at Fox Run Manor.
Marty was born June 14, 1953, in Lima to Edwin and Alice (Niese) Beckman, who preceded her in death. On November 2, 1985, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Danny Chamberlin, who survives.
She was a member of the Ottawa Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Ottawa VFW, where she worked for many years. She enjoyed gambling, riding horses, reading, fishing with her husband, and playing jokes on others. Above all, she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren, Chloe, Lexi and Gavin.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Danny Chamberlin; three children, Brandi (Aaron) Schumacher, Noel Rice, and Christine Hafner; six step-children, Kim, Michelle, Beverly, Bubba, Steve, and Rose; many grandchildren, especially Chloe, Lexi, and Gavin; and three sisters, Joan Kreinbrink, Donna Schroeder, and Bernie Bockrath.
She was preceded in death by two siblings, Mary Jane Beckman and Joseph Beckman.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton, with Pastor David Glick officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
