Lydia Gratz wins district peace poster contest
MEDIA RELEASE__The Bluffton Lions Club is pleased to learn that the winner of the local 2025 Peace Poster Contest has been selected as the winner of the Lions district-level contest for northwestern Ohio.
The winner, Lydia Gratz, is a 7th-grade art student in Bluffton Middle School. She is the daughter of Dan and Joanna Gratz. She had previously been awarded as the local winner in the November 18 Lions Club meeting.
Lydia's poster will now compete at the Ohio level with the winners from other Lions districts in Ohio. The Ohio winner will be entered in the Lions international contest.
Lydia and her parents will be invited to be recognized at the Lions District-level convention in April. Thirteen Lions Clubs in northwestern Ohio submitted winning posters from their local contests. An estimated 250 students entered those local contests.
The Bluffton Middle School has four 7th-grade art classes this year, which are taught by Mrs. Amy Gratz. Sixty-three Bluffton art students entered the local Peace Poster Contest.
