AdaIcon.com: Spring events at ONU Observatory begin February 15
Five free public events at the ONU Observatory will be hosted during the Spring 2026 semester. Dr. Jason Pinkney posts information about the events at https://jpastro.net/astro/publicevents.html
The first event is coming up on Friday, February 13. It is called "Jupiter Divides the Twins", referring to the way the planet Jupiter will be in the middle of the constellation Gemini. Guests will be looking at Jupiter and its moons, as well as other celestial objects.
Visitors are free to drop by anytime within the allotted two hours and don't need to stay the whole time. Start times are later as the days lengthen.
Events are weather-dependent. Pinkney will add the word "CANCELLED" by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the event if it looks like the sky will be too cloudy that night.
Maps to the observatory are at https://jpastro.net/astro/ONUObservatory.html
