Ginther receives NWC hoop honor

BLUFFTON__Bluffton High School senior guard Bean Ginther was named honorable mention All-Northwest Conference for boys basketball in voting recently conducted by the league coaches.

Ginther was one of the top Pirate scorers.

Bluffton finished the regular season 9-13 and 1-6 in the rugged NWC.

Lincolnview won the league crown with a 6-1 record, while Lima Central Catholic and Columbus Grove tied for second at 5-2. Spencerville came in fourth at 4-3, followed by Crestview (3-4) and Allen East in a fifth-place tie.

Bluffton and Delphos Jefferson tied for seventh at 1-6.

LCC’s Jordan Priddy was voted NWC Player of the Year.

Lancer mentor Brett Hammons was named NWC Coach of the Year by his peers.
