Paul C. Kloeppel, 79, passed away March 7, 2026, at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center.
Paul was born August 30, 1946, in Delphos to Howard and Rita (Geise) Kloeppel, who preceded him in death. On April 30, 1967, he married Roxie (Dunlap) Kloeppel, who survives.
He was a 1966 graduate of Bluffton High School and a member of Pandora Missionary Church. He dedicated 30 years to the Allen County Engineers as a road foreman and was a lifelong farmer. He worked part-time at Ken Lugibihl Auto and Truck Center, drove a truck for Schulte Farms, and volunteered as a chaplain at Second Chance Chapel in Beaverdam. He was a proud veteran and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop, cleaning, and liked to keep busy. He, above all, loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Roxie A. Kloeppel of Ottawa, Renee (Lyle) Smith of Bluffton and Dawn Schulte of Dublin; eight grandchildren, Hunter (Abby) Smith, Tom Schulte, Alexa (Juan) Bonifaz, Olivia (Adam) Schwab, Lane Schulte, Autumn Schulte, Gavin Schulte, and Ava Schulte; two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Cooper Smith; and three brothers and one sister.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by one brother.
Services will be held March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Matt Steiner officiating at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service. Visitation will be on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora Missionary Church, St. Jude's Children’s Hospital, or to the 700 Club.
