Networking events schedule for The Business Collective

A free monthly networking opportunity called The Business Collective has been created at 1861 Wine Lounge by promoter Kiley Rutzler. On Thursday, April 2, some 20 business owners and managers attended with casual networking, introductions and a presentation by Nicole Scott of the Small Business Development Center at Rhodes State.
The networking opportunity will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at 115 N. Main St. Participants received a follow-up email with contact information for others who attended.
The following activities are planned for the rest of 2026:
May – Business Insurance Insights
- 1861 Wine Lounge: Mike & Mary Burris
- Panda Technologies: Seth Thompson
June – Speed Networking
- Timed rotations to meet multiple business owners
- Sign-up required
July – Summer Social
- Casual networking to connect with new and existing business owners
August – War Room
- Bring your business challenges: marketing, staffing, finances, operations ● Group problem-solving and brainstorming
September – Bring a Friend
- Invite a friend or colleague
- Special guest: Jen Fulton – networking, goal setting, and referrals
October – Nonprofit Support
- Focus on giving back to the community
- Activities TBD (e.g., food drive, family support)
November – Social Media & Events Tips
- Insights from Kiley Rutzler: social media trends, Canva tips, and event planning
December – Holiday Social
- Celebrate the season, network, and talk business
Sponsorships are available with a 5-minute sponsor spot at each event. Sponsors may provide food or resources.
Rutzler also promotes Hustle & Hello networking events in Findlay on the second Tuesday of the month.
