Pirate baseball no-hit by Allen East

HARROD __The Bluffton High School baseball team lost to backyard rival Allen East 11-0 in the Northwest Conference opener on Thursday, April 9.
The Pirates did not get a hit in the run-rule shortened, five-inning affair.
Bluffton dropped to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in NWC play with the defeat.
AE improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the NWC after the win
Caleb Lybarger struck out 10 Pirates and walked six Pirates over five frames to earn the shortened no-hit win.
AE tallied six runs in the third inning, then added five in the fifth to invoke the mercy rule.
Travis Stanley doubled in a run and singled for AE. Hayden Carter stroked a two-run pinch-hit single. Colt Snyder slugged a double and scored two runs. Jackson Thompson swatted a double and Jacob Williams added a single, two walks and one RBI.
Jagger Crawfis took the loss on the hill for the Pirates. He scattered six hits over four innings and allowed three earned runs. Crawfis struck out three and walked three.
The Mustangs out-hit the Pirates 9-0 and drew six walks. They smacked four doubles and stole three bases.
The Pirates are slated to play at Carey (5-1) Friday.
