Pirate boys tennis wins 4-1 vs. Van Wert

VAN WERT__The visiting Bluffton High School boys tennis team soundly defeated Van Wert 4-1 on Thursday evening, April 9.
The Pirates improved to 4-1 with the win, while VW dropped to 0-2 after the defeat. Bluffton won its four matches by a 48-2 count in games, and 8-0 in sets.
Bluffton junior Braydon McClure lost 7-5, 6-3 at first singles.
Senior Hudson Phillips cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at second singles.
Sophomore Toby Yarnell won decisively at third singles by a 6-1, 6-0 count.
Seniors Grady Coonfare and Isaiah Kohli combined to win handily at first doubles 6-0, 6-0.
Sophomores Micah Lemley and Ezra Nygaard also teamed up for a double bagel victory at second doubles 6-0, 6-0.
The Pirates are slated to play at the Lima City Invitational tournament on Saturday.
