Wilson football factory to host Autism Awareness 5K on May 9
MEDIA RELEASE__Wilson Sporting Goods is inviting the surrounding communities together for a meaningful day of movement, fun, and awareness. On Saturday, May 9, 2026, Wilson will host a community 5K Run/Walk and Family Event in partnership with Autism Speaks. While there is no cost to attend or participate, donations are encouraged, with all proceeds going directly to Autism Speaks.
The run will begin and end at the Wilson Sporting Goods Football Factory, located at 517 E Highland Ave in Ada, OH. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m., and participants are encouraged to allow up to 15 minutes to complete the check‑in process. The race will begin at 9:30 a.m. with festivities continuing until 1:30 p.m.
While participants will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes, the day has been intentionally designed for everyone, including families and community members who simply want to show their support. Attendees can enjoy raffle baskets, kids’ activities, food trucks, and opportunities to purchase event t‑shirts. The Wilson Gift Shop will also be open to the public, offering a variety of sporting goods and apparel.
Guests are reminded that parking is limited, and carpooling is strongly encouraged. For safety and comfort, pets are not permitted at the event.
“We’re grateful for the Town of Ada’s support in bringing this event to life,” organizers said. “Every dollar raised will go directly to Autism Speaks, helping to support individuals and families affected by autism.”
