Woman booked on preliminary charges in death of Paula Dirmeyer
MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE__(Original release December 18, 2026) Death Investigation.
On November 24, 2025, Paula Dirmeyer came to the Ada Police Department to report that she had been assaulted within the Village of Ada by a known individual. Officers gathered information from her and began an investigation.
On November 27, officers were notified by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office that Paula had been found deceased in her rural Allen County home; her body was transported to Lucas County for a post-mortem exam.
New Developments
Following our investigation, Donna Miller, age 64, of Lima, Ohio, was taken into custody.
Charges
Miller has been booked on the following preliminary charges:
- Murder ORC 2903.02
- Involuntary Manslaughter ORC 2903.04
- Strangulation ORC 2903.18
- Felonious Assault ORC 2903.11
