Bluffton baseball loss vs. Knights

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School baseball team lost to visiting Northwest Conference rival Crestview 14-0 on Thursday, April 23.
Bluffton fell to 1-5-1 overall and 1-2 in Northwest Conference play with the home loss.
Crestview improved to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in the NWC after the five-inning road win.
The game was shortened by the 10-run mercy rule after five frames.
The Pirate game with Fort Jennings (4-5) on Wednesday was rained out in the top of the third inning with Bluffton ahead, 5-0.
Bluffton is slated to host Ridgemont (8-4) on Friday. The Gophers rallied late to beat Arlington 6-4 on Thursday.
The Pirates entertain non-league foe Genoa (5-4) on Saturday, April 25.
The Pirates (1-2 NWC) resume league play Monday, April 27 at Lima Central Catholic (7-4, 3-1 NWC).
