Veterans Honor & Remembrance at Bluffton's Maple Grove Cemetery
MEDIA RELEASE__The America 250 in Bluffton, Ohio committee has a Veterans Honor & Remembrance event planned for Memorial Day, May 25.
Family members of Bluffton veterans can have their loved ones honored on a tree covered with patriotic ribbons. The ribbons will be displayed on a tree in Maple Grove Cemetery from Memorial Day until Labor Day 2026.
Ribbons can be obtained, inscribed and submitted several times prior to Memorial Day. America 250 volunteers will be at tables at the Bluffton Farmers Market on Saturdays during May. Look for the table on the sidewalk near the parking lot beside the post office. Families will also be able to inscribe ribbons at the cemetery following the Memorial Day observance as well.
The America 250 committee notes that Veterans Day in November honors all living vets and Memorial Day in May honors all vets who are no longer with us, but in keeping with the spirit of America’s 250th Anniversary, Bluffton will be honoring all veterans past and present through the entire summer beginning on Memorial Day, the national holiday that begins summertime until Labor Day, the national holiday that concludes summertime.
The tree in Maple Grove cemetery will be teeming with red, white and blue ribbons publicly displaying the long-lived and still-living patriotism through veterans of the village of Bluffton, Ohio and throughout the United States.
