Pirate baseball to play at L-B in sectional round

BLUFFTON __The Bluffton High School baseball team was seeded seventh in its seven-team Northwest 1 Div. V sectional drawing held on Sunday.
The Pirates (2-9-1) will visit second-seeded Blanchard Valley Conference champion Liberty-Benton (13-4) at Findlay in the sectional final round on Saturday, May 23 at 2 p.m.
The Pirate/Eagle winner will advance to the district semifinals in Bluffton on Thursday, May 28 at 4:30 p.m. The Bluffton/L-B victor will play the survivor between third seed Paulding (8-7) and sixth seed Fostoria (5-14).
Archbold (16-4) is the top seed in the upper half of Bluffton’s sectional bracket.
The district finals are slated for Saturday, May 30 in Defiance at 2 p.m.
