We kindly ask all visitors and employees to be mindful of the parking spaces downtown.
On-street spaces are limited and are especially important for customers who may have health conditions, mobility challenges, or other needs that make closer parking essential.
By parking in the bigger lots, you help ensure that these convenient spots remain available for those who truly depend on them.
The Bluffton High School track and field teams have been active and very successful in recent meets.
HOME MEET
On April 8, the Pirate boys and girls swept a four-team meet at Bluffton University. The Bluffton boys dominated with 108 points. Delphos Jefferson finished a distant second with 23 points, followed by Lima Central Catholic (17) and Temple Christian (11).
The Pirate girls also won their meet easily with 93 points. Jefferson tallied 29 points, while LCC again scored 17 and Temple Christian 15.
The Bluffton Council met on Monday, April 13 with Mayor Rich Johnson presiding. Ohio Northern Engineering students made a presentation on potential traffic and streetscape improvements. Topics under discussion included the adoption of Bluffton Police Department body cameras and the development of public pickleball courts. A scheduled AEP power outage for parts of Bluffton on Saturday, April 18, is expected to occur from about 3:00-8:00 a.m.
McCOMB__The Bluffton High School softball team lost at non-league foe McComb 7-4 on Tuesday, April 13.
The Panthers scored two runs in both the first and second innings to build an early 4-0 lead.
Bluffton plated a run in the top of the fourth, but McComb matched it in the home fourth to maintain a 5-1 advantage.
The Pirates pushed two runs across the plate in the fifth inning to inch within 5-3. The Panthers tallied single runs in the fifth and sixth frames to rebuild the margin to 7-3.
