Chad Alan Shepler worked for Brock Industrial Services
Chad Alan Shepler, of Jenera, Ohio, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord Tuesday, June 16, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1995, in Fremont, Ohio, to surviving parents, Tammy (Ivan) Spallinger (Lunsford) and Todd Shepler.
Chad is survived by his beloved wife and son, Megan (Johnson) and Waylon Shepler. He is also survived by his brother, Charley Shepler, two stepsisters, Angela Spallinger, and Amy (Nick) Roby, grandparents, Terry and Phylis (Warren) Shepler and Dave and Marilyn (Waltz) Spallinger. He also has countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends that felt more like family who are surviving.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Paul and Artie Lunsford. He is also reunited in heaven with a child his family carries in their hearts.
Chad was a 2013 graduate from Cory-Rawson High School. After earning his diploma, he started an apprenticeship with the Heat and Frost Insulators of Local 41, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has dedicated 13 years to Brock Industrial Services, a company he truly loved- in a field he was very passionate about.
He married the love of his life on November 6, 2021, in Bluffton, Ohio. Though he and Megan only shared a handful of married years together, he cherished Megan with his whole heart and was a dedicated husband. Not only was he a loving husband, he was an outstanding dad and best buddy to his son, Waylon. He was so proud to be his dad. Together, they raised a small herd of cattle, and Chad thoroughly enjoyed all of the extra time in the barn with his family.
Outside of work, he was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton, Ohio, and served as a Hancock County 4-H advisor. Chad loved his 3 dogs (especially HIS lab, Duke), was the biggest Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and was an avid supporter of a cold beer or whiskey after work or on the weekends. He very much enjoyed spending any free moment with family, friends or anyone who needed an extra hand.
