The Bluffton Public Library has been collecting supplies for the Bluffton Community Assistance Program (food pantry) since October. These are the final days of this supply drive at 145 N. Main St. Donations of non-perishable, non-expired food in plastic jars, cans and sealed packets are welcome through the month of December.

MEDIA RELEASE__Bluffton University has been recognized by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) for strong alignment with the state’s Science of Reading standards. The findings highlight Bluffton’s ongoing commitment to preparing future educators with research-informed reading instruction practices. 

Theodore "Ted" W. Cunningham, 88, passed away on December 13, 2025, at Lima Memorial Health System.

Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.

Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

VAN BUREN–The visiting Bluffton High School girls basketball team rode big first and fourth quarters to defeat scrappy Van Buren 51-40 in a non-conference contest on Tuesday, December 16. 

The Pirate girls jumped to a 17-8 lead after the first quarter by hitting three three-point goals. VB inched within 25-19 at the intermission break.

The Black Knights tallied their second straight 11-8 stanza in the third period to further cut their deficit to 33-30 heading into the final quarter.
