In the United States, there are two main routes to earning a doctoral degree in medicine and the professional title of “physician”: the Doctor of (allopathic) Medicine (MD) and the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). The primary difference between these pathways lies in their underlying philosophy.

MEDIA RELEASE__A last-minute road trip led Hannah Chappell-Dick ’16 to Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), where she became one of the most accomplished distance runners in program history.
A biology major with minors in exercise science and honors, Chappell-Dick wasn’t initially focused on Mennonite colleges. She joined a friend traveling to Honors Weekend and quickly found herself drawn to EMU.
