FROM ODNR__Hunters in Ohio’s Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) surveillance area have additional dates this season to pursue white-tailed deer. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife announced that archery hunting season begins Saturday, Sept. 12, and early gun hunting season is open from Saturday, Oct. 10 to Monday, Oct. 12 in this specific area.

The Bluffton Ohio Historical Society (BOHS) is among 300 entities taking part in Open Doors, a state-wide celebration of Ohio history, heritage and preservation. BOHS will have access to the former Lawson's Dairy building at 314 N. Main St. just in time for the Open Doors event.
The society is purchasing buildings at 302 and 314 N. Main St. owned by Gary Kirtland and most recently occupied by Stratton Auto Group.
FROM BLUFFTON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE__The next Women in Business meeting is Thursday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bluffton Public Library in the History Room, located on the main floor.
