Allen County residents invited to provide feedback on Hazard Mitigation Plan
5:00 p.m. on June 30 at Allen County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management
FROM FACEBOOK__The Allen County Hazard Mitigation Plan is being updated, and [Allen County EMA wants] to hear from you!
This plan helps identify potential hazards facing our community and outlines projects and strategies to reduce risks, protect lives and property, and lessen the impacts of future disasters. The plan is updated every five years to ensure Allen County and its participating communities remain eligible for important state and federal mitigation grant funding before and after disasters.
During the meeting, community members will have the opportunity to:
- Share concerns about potential hazards affecting Allen County
- Suggest projects that could reduce future disaster losses
- Help prioritize the hazards that will be addressed in the updated plan
Your feedback is a vital part of creating a safer, more resilient Allen County. We encourage all residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to attend and be part of the planning process.
