BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School boys soccer team shut out visiting Ottoville 2-0 in a non-league match on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Steinmetz Field.

The Pirate boys improved to 4-2-1 with the clean-sheet victory.

The Big Green fell to 3-2-1 after the defeat.

Pirate goals were scored by Jaxton Morris and Gavin Amstutz, with Amstutz assisted by Carter Steinmetz. 

Bluffton out-shot the Big Green, 13-5.

COLUMBUS GROVE__The Bluffton High School cross country teams competed in the Columbus Grove Invitational Red Division meet on Saturday, September 5.

GIRLS RESULTS
Pirate Xandra Gatchel finished 20th in a solid time of 20:49.5 to post the top Pirate girls showing.

Tessa Tarplee finished 64th in 22:27.3. Georgia Hagen came in 75th with a time of 22:49.3. Zaeda Hermiller finished in 120th place in 24:37.8. Tala Gipson ended up 191st as the fifth Pirate scorer in 29:23.4.

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School football team routed visiting Toledo Bowsher 56-12 in the Pirate home opener and Senior Night at Harmon Field on a warm Friday night, September 4.

The Pirates improved to 3-0 with the non-league blowout win. Winless Bowsher fell to 0-3 with the lopsided road loss.

Explosive Bluffton tallied 42 unanswered points to turn a 7-6 score into a 49-6 blowout by halftime.

Sept. 5 Bluffton High School athletic events: cross country, girls tennis, boys soccer, JV football.

UPDATE Approximately 100 customer outages shown at 8:00 a.m.

AEP Ohio has notified Bluffton area customers of power outages amid severe thunderstorm in the early hours of Saturday, September 5.

A total of 1,149 Customer Outages was shown stemming 2 Outage Cases.
