September 15 events in Yoder Recital Hall and Musselman Library

MEDIA RELEASE__Bluffton University alumnus and journalist Rick Ramseyer '83 will present “Steadfast Faith: Martha Graber's Landmark Fight for U.S. Citizenship” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in Yoder Recital Hall.

Ramseyer will reflect on his grandmother's courageous struggle to gain U.S. citizenship despite being a conscientious objector to war.

Through his family's story, Ramseyer will examine questions of faith, citizenship, conscience and civic responsibility while highlighting a little-known chapter in his family's history.

The presentation serves as Bluffton's Constitution Day Forum and offers an opportunity to consider the rights and responsibilities associated with citizenship.

A book celebration for Ramseyer's book will also take place at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the Musselman Library Reading Room. The celebration will offer an opportunity to learn more about the book and its story.

The event is free and open to the public.
