Pirate boys golf 3rd at NWC quad

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School boys golf team finished third in a close Northwest Conference quadrangular match on Tuesday, September 8 at the Bluffton Golf Club.
Lincolnview won the event with 160 strokes, followed by Allen East at 177. The Pirates were just one stroke behind the rival Mustangs at 178, with Crestview fourth at 188.
The Pirates are 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the NWC following this match. AE improved to 8-3 overall and 5-3 in NWC play.
League leader Lincolnview is now 6-0 in NWC action and 10-3 overall. Crestview dropped to 1-8 overall and 1-5 in the NWC after the losses.
Lancers Boston Bailey and Seth Brant shared match medalist honors as each fired a round of 38. Mustang Conner Clum shot 39 to come in third place overall.
Caleb Fifer topped the Pirates with a score of 42. Pirates Gibson Meyer and Landon Byers each carded rounds of 45.
The Pirates play league foes AE and LCC (3-5, 3-3 NWC) at Colonial Hills in Harrod Wednesday.
