Pirate boys soccer tie vs. Kalida

KALIDA – The visiting Bluffton High School boys soccer team tied Kalida 2-2 in a non-league match on Tuesday, September 8.
The Pirates ran their record to 4-2-2 overall after the tie.
The Wildcats are 5-2-1 overall with the result.
The first Bluffton goal was netted by Weston Johnstone on an assist by Carter Steinmetz. Emekkabo Smith then tallied the other Pirate goal via a pass from Xavier Navarro.
Bluffton keeper Ryan Blount recorded five saves.
Earlier in the night, the Bluffton junior varsity defeated Kalida 3-1.
Bluffton entertains perennial power Liberty-Benton (5-2-1) Thursday evening at Steinmetz Field in a non-league battle.
