Michael (Mike) David Risser, 77, passed away on October 14, 2026, in Chandler, AZ. He was born on July 21, 1950, to the late Louis Risser and the late Margaret DeVore Risser. Mike grew up on his family's historic Ohio Century Farm in Pandora, Ohio. He was married to Sandra Lee Margolin on July 1, 1990, in Oakland, CA.

MEDIA RELEASE__As we transition from fall to winter, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is reminding drivers to always remain aware when behind the wheel, specifically when traveling during the morning or evening hours.
"We know that deer activity typically increases at dawn and dusk, when visibility is low and many drivers are traveling to and from work," said Governor Mike DeWine. "To keep yourself and other drivers safe, I encourage everyone to drive defensively, follow the posted speed limit, and never drive distracted."

UPDATED __The Bluffton girls cross country team and three Pirate boys competed at regional meets on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Tiffin.
Pirate harriers Levin Essinger and Xandra Gatchel advanced to the state meet next Saturday with strong showings.
Pirate Levin Essinger finished 15th in the boys' race with a time of 16:43 to advance to the state meet. Gatchel finished in 23rd place in the girls' race with a time of 19:55 to make it to Fortress Obetz on Nov. 7.
