Pirate girls tennis edged by Archbold

BLUFFTON __The Bluffton High School girls tennis team lost 3-2 to visiting Archbold on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The close loss to the Blue Streaks dropped the Pirate girls' dual match record to 6-4 this season.
Pirate Hope Luginbill posted a decisive win at third singles in straight sets, dropping only one game.
The Bluffton tandem of Klinger and Bowling rallied to win a tough three-setter at first doubles. After dropping the first set 5-7, they rallied to win set two in a tiebreaker, 7-6. The duo then rolled to a 6-2 third-set victory.
Bluffton’s Bekah Rehm lost a close three-set battle at second singles.

1st Doubles - Klinger/Bowling (B) d. Stuckey/Miller (A) 5-7, 7-6, 6-2
2nd D - Ruffer/Ruffer (A) d. Bowers/Hoffman (B) 6-2, 6-4
The Pirates are scheduled to play at Bryan on Saturday, Sept. 26.
