ALA Banned Books Week
MEDIA RELEASE__The American Library Association's Banned Books Week takes place October 4–10. The theme for 2026 is “Let Books Be. Protect the Freedom to Read.”
Books on display at Bluffton Public Library will include materials that have been banned in libraries, booksellers and schools across the United States.
The ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom provides information on book ban data, most challenged books, a censorship search portal, a form for reporting censorship and more at ala.org/bbooks.
