LIMA__The Bluffton High School girls cross country team finished third in the Allen County Invitational meet at Lima’s Faurot Park on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Xandra Gatchel was the top Pirate finisher, crossing the line fifth in a time of 22:35.

Teammate Tessa Tarplee came in ninth place at 23:39.

Allen East’s Kylee Korte won the girls race with a time of 20:28.

Delphos St. John’s won the closely bunched, six-team girls meet with 57 points.

Bath came in second with 64, followed by Bluffton (68) in third. LCC ended up fourth (84), with Shawnee fifth (97) and Elida sixth (104).

BOYS RESULTS
Shawnee won the seven-team boys meet with 24 points. Delphos St. John’s was second with 48. Elida ended up a distant third (102), followed by Bath (108) and LCC (119).

Bluffton did not field a boys team.

Shawnee’s Kasey Hohe won the boys race in 17:54.
