Michael (Mike) David Risser, 77, passed away on October 14, 2026, in Chandler, AZ. He was born on July 21, 1950, to the late Louis Risser and the late Margaret DeVore Risser. Mike grew up on his family's historic Ohio Century Farm in Pandora, Ohio. He was married to Sandra Lee Margolin on July 1, 1990, in Oakland, CA.

Mike graduated from Pandora High School and went on to The Ohio State University to pursue a science degree. As part of that degree, he had to take a computer class, and that led to his lifelong love of working with computers. He left OSU to carve out a most successful career in IBM mainframe performance and capacity planning. At Bank of America, he was promoted to management but chose to return to the technical work he loved. As systems turned more and more towards the use of new "languages," he taught himself how to program and use them. After Mike retired from Bank of America, he took a consulting position. In that capacity, Mike worked with companies around the world to help them improve the performance of their computer systems. After he fully retired, Mike enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sandra Risser and was preceded in death by his sister, Michele Risser.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Pandora United Methodist Church, with Pastor Ruth Carter-Crist officiating. Burial will be in Pandora Cemetery, 412 S Jefferson Street, following the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
